Overview
Information Studies is both a practical and philosophical subject area. To be successful in this field, either as an academic or a practitioner, I believe a symbiotic relationship is necessary between my job and my studies: what I learn in this program allows me to create more compelling experiences and products, and what I do at work gives me the experiential wisdom for informed, innovative thought leadership.
About Me
I am a product strategist with a background in library science, user experience, and content strategy – particularly as it applies to the ecommerce industry. I’m devoted to making digital life intuitive, useful, and beautiful through the creative, interesting, and sometimes radical use of technology.
I am currently Manager of Content Strategy at SapientNitro. My past experience includes Razorfish, BN.com, Time Inc., and the Boston Public Library. I’m also a doctoral student at Syracuse University, studying Information Science. My areas of specialization include the user experience of the book, innovation adoption theory, and taxonomies.
Outside of work, I’m obsessed with Bikram, fiction, HGTV, and lamb burgers. I live in Boston, MA.
